Jan II of Egmond
Jan II of Egmond (* 1385 ; † 1451 ) from the House of Egmond was regent in the Duchy of Geldern from 1423 to 1433 .

He was the son of Arend von Egmond and his wife Jolanda von Leiningen.
Jan von Egmond married Maria von Arkel on June 24, 1409 († July 18, 1415). With her he had two sons: Arnold (1410–1473) and Wilhelm von Egmond (1412–1483).
Life
Jan II was also called Jan with the bells after the image of bells on his armor. He was a sympathizer of the urban cod party and was thus in opposition to Count Wilhelm VI. from Holland . He lost his lands in the Arkels War (1401-1412), but was after the death of Wilhelm VI. Mr. von Ijsselstein .
He became regent in the Duchy of Geldern for his son Arnold. He swapped the rule of Leningen for the rule of Leerdam .
