Jan Julius Quast
Jan Julius Quast (born May 25, 1939 in Hamburg ; pseudonym Yoolyus ) is an artist of contemporary painting.
Life
After he had to give up his commercial career due to a serious illness, he devoted himself to painting.
He is a member of the master group of the Research Institute of Fine Arts and is listed both in the general artist lexicon (AKL) and in lex-art.eu.
Quast was a member of the ARTGALA artist group, Leipzig, until the end of 2010.
He has received several awards in competitions, most recently in 2015 in the champions tournament of the Meisterkreis. There he received a silver medal and was honored with “magna cum laude” for his oeuvre.
The artist calls the style of his more recent works Neography .
