Wilhelmus Johannes Hendrikus "Jan" Peters (born July 20, 1953 in Gorinchem ) is a former Dutch football player . The striker was a Dutch international .

He played from 1976 at FC Den Bosch in the first division , for which he scored 44 goals in 93 games. In 1979 he moved to Feyenoord Rotterdam in the honor division . In the 1979/80 UEFA Cup he reached the third round with Feyenoord, where they were eliminated against the eventual tournament winner Eintracht Frankfurt . In 1980 Peters won the Dutch Cup with Rotterdam . In the 1980/81 European Cup Winners' Cup , Feyenoord was able to reach the semi-finals, in which the later tournament winner Dinamo Tbilisi prevailed. After 61 games and 39 goals for Rotterdam, Peters went to the Belgian first division club KV Kortrijk in 1981 . In 1983 he first played for the Spanish club CE Sabadell and then moved to SC Espinho in Portugal. Further stations were Seiko Hong Kong and Sabadell again, where he ended his career in 1986.

Peters was appointed to the Dutch national team once in 1979.

In 2010 Peters admitted that in his time at Feyenoord, he and his teammates were doped before important games , for example before the 1980 cup final against Ajax Amsterdam.
