Jan Schanda (born August 17, 1977 in Wolfsburg ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Schanda began his career at VfL Wolfsburg , where, in addition to appearances in the youth and under 23 teams, he also made two short appearances in the Bundesliga squad. Then he went to the regional division SC Fortuna Köln , where he became a regular player.

In 2001 he moved to Eintracht Braunschweig , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2002 and for which he played until 2003 before moving to the second division club VfB Lübeck . In 2004 he went to the regional league club VfL Osnabrück, with whom he made promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2006/2007 season.

In May 2008 he did not extend his expiring contract in Osnabrück for private reasons. He returned to his hometown Wolfsburg and signed a two-year contract with the nearby third division club Eintracht Braunschweig. From 2010 to 2012 Jan Schanda played for the district division VfB Fallersleben , where he ended his football career.

Jan Schanda has played two Bundesliga games, 74 second division games (three goals), 52 third division and 150 regional league games (eight goals) and ten games in the DFB Cup (one goal) (as of June 14, 2010) .
