Jan Svendsen (athlete)
Jan Svendsen (actually Janet Anne Svendsen; born November 9, 1948 in San Mateo , California ) is a former American shot putter and discus thrower .
In the shot put at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, she was eliminated from qualification.
In 1975 she was fifth in the discus throw at the Pan American Games in Mexico City .
In 1973 she became the US indoor champion in the shot put.
