Jan van Mersbergen

Jan van Mersbergen (born April 10, 1971 in Gorinchem ) is a Dutch writer and editor .

Life

The author has been editor of the literary magazine De Revisor since 2010 . He is known for his appearances at major literary festivals. His novels have been translated into Slovenian, Catalan, French, Serbian, Lebanese, Turkish, Spanish, German and English.

Two of his novels were filmed: Naar de overkant van de Nacht and Morgen zijn we in Pamplona .

Jan van Mersbergen has lived from his work as a writer since 2000 and is on the jury of the Woutertje Pieterse Prize .

He studied culture, politics and cultural sociology at the University of Amsterdam and made his debut in 2001 with the novel De grasbijter.
