Jane de Santacruz

Jane de Santacruz (born Jane Swärd , * 1943 in Malmö ) is a Swedish chanson and pop singer .

Jane Swärd was mainly in the GDR known after 1963 entitled evening, the stars come the Schlagerfestival the Baltic countries in Rostock won. She was part of the Nordic Spring program , which she and the Tip-Top-Combo led through the GDR. Her first single was also released on the GDR record label Amiga .

After marrying the Spanish musician Miguel de Santacruz, she became the singer of the Trio de Santa Cruz , whose first long-playing record was also released by Amiga in 1971.

In West Germany, however, it was hardly noticed. In 1966 a single was released on the SABA record label , but it also received little attention. With the Trio de Santa Cruz she recorded a few more records for Intercord .

After the end of her career she returned to Sweden .
