Janina Miščiukaitė
Janina Miščiukaitė-Brazaitienė (born May 10, 1948 in Jonava , † February 20, 2008 in Vilnius ) was a Lithuanian singer and musician.
Life
Janina Miščiukaitė grew up in the family of musicians. She completed the clarinet class at the Juozas Gruodis Music School in Kaunas and later studied in the master's degree in music education at the Vilniaus pedagoginis universitetas . She taught at the Balys Dvarionas Music School and at the Lietuvos muzikos ir teatro akademija . She won the “ Vilniaus bokštai” competition and received the first Antanas-Šabaniauskas prize.
In 2009 the Jonava Art School was renamed to Miščiukaitė.
Her grave is in the Antakalnis cemetery .
