Athletic career
Jannik Steimle won bronze in the two-man team driving (with Marc Jurczyk ) and in the team pursuit (with Marc Jurczyk, Laurin Winter and Max Singer) at the 2014 German track championships .
In 2016 and 2017, Steimle rode road cycling for the Continental Team Felbermayr Simplon Wels . In the first year he won his first international competition with Croatia-Slovenia . In June he won the Tour of Upper Austria and a stage of the Flèche du Sud and in July the prologue and another stage of the Tour of Austria .
From August 2019 Steimle drove as a stagiaire for the UCI WorldTeam Deceuninck-Quick-Step , with whom he signed a regular contract from the 2020 season the month after. He then won the Kampioenschap van Vlaanderen for this team after an attack a few kilometers from the finish and thus his most important cycle race to date.
