Janusz Kotowski

Janusz Józef Kotowski (born March 25, 1966 in Rozogi ) is a Polish politician and former mayor of the city of Ostrołęka .

Life

Kotowski studied philosophy and theology at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw . He then worked as a teacher. He is a co-founder of the Ostrołęka Business High School and was its director and head of the municipal sports facilities until 1998.

From 1998 to 2005 he was alderman, chairman of the Ostrołęka City Council and, at times, Vice-Marshal of Mazovia . In 2006 he was elected mayor of Ostrołęka in a runoff election with 63.80 percent as a candidate for the Law and Justice party. In 2010 he was re-elected. In 2018, however, he lost in favor of Łukasz Kulik.
