Jaqueline Maria Duarte Pires Ferreira Rodrigues Pires (born November 1, 1968 ) is a Cape Verdean diplomat .

Life

In 1992 she obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Lisbon in Portugal . In 1995 she became the embassy secretary. From 1998 to 2001 she worked as a consultant responsible for Portugal, the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries , African countries with Portuguese characteristics and the United Nations . In 2001 she became an advisor to the Cape Verdean Foreign Minister and in 2004 she became an advisor to the Executive Secretary of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries in Lisbon. She carried out this task until 2009. In 2008 she also completed a postgraduate course in African Studies and Development. From 2010 to 2012 she then took on the role of Deputy National Director for Political Affairs and Cooperation at the Cape Verdean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2012 to 2015 she was diplomatic advisor to the Prime Minister.

On November 10, 2015, she was accredited as Cape Verdean ambassador to Germany based in Berlin . She held the office until August 27, 2019.
