The Jardim do Campo Grande , in English "garden of the large field", is a park between 12.5 and 15 hectares in the municipality of Alvalade in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon .

Until the 16th century, the area on which the park is located was known as Campo de Alvalade and was mainly used for family walks on Sundays. At the beginning of the 19th century, the Count of Linhares ( Conde de Linhares ) had the park at the behest of the Portuguese prince regent and later King João VI. remodel and expand in the style of romanticism . In 1816 the first horse races took place on the grounds of Jardim do Campo Grande .

Today the park is primarily used as a leisure and recreation center. In addition to the restaurant on one of the lake islands in the park, which can be reached via a small stone bridge, there are several tennis and other ball courts and a swimming pool that is currently inoperative.
