The Jare IV Nunatakker ( French Nunataks JARE IV ) are a group of four linearly arranged Nunatakkern in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Queen Fabiola Mountains they tower 5 km north-northeast of Mount Gaston de Gerlache .
A subscriber 1959-1961 permanent Belgian Antarctica expedition they discovered on October 7, 1960. expedition leader Guido Derom (1923-2005) called the Nunatakker after the fourth JARE ( J apanese A ntarctic R eSearch E Xpedition), which under the guidance of geochemist Tetsuya Torii (1918-2008) carried out scientific investigations and geodetic surveys in this area between November and December 1960.
