Jared Scott Fogle (born August 23, 1977 in Indianapolis , Indiana ) is an American , former advertising spokesman for the fast food chain Subway , who was convicted of sexual abuse of minors. The comedian and actor gained notoriety because, according to his own statements, he achieved a significant reduction in body weight through a diet that mainly consisted of Subway products. From 2000 to 2015 he was advertising spokesman for Subway advertising campaigns in the North American market.

His employment at Subway ended when he was accused of paying for sex with minors and receiving child pornography in 2015 . On August 19, 2015, it is known in court guilty of possessing child pornography and to have traveled to have sex with minors. Fogle formally admitted the allegations on November 19, 2015 and was sentenced to 15 years and 8 months in state prison . He must serve at least 13 years to qualify for early discharge.
