Jaromír Kohlíček

Jaromír Kohlíček (born February 23, 1953 in Teplice ) is a Czech politician and member of the European Parliament .

Jaromír Kohlíček graduated from the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague as an engineer. From 1976 to 1995 he worked as a glass technician, operations director, technical director and head of commercial and technical services. From 1995 to 1998 he was director of a steel mill.

Kohlíček belongs to the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia and was a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party. In the European Parliament he is a member of the European Left party and thus also of the Group of the United European Left . He was seconded to the European Parliament for the first time in 2004 and for the second time in 2009. There he is a member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism.

Jaromír Kohlíček is married and has four children.
