The Java Pony is one of the Mongolian wild horse derived Ponyrasse that on the island of Java ( Indonesia is home).

Exterior
The exterior of the Java pony is determined by its graceful body. The average height is around 1.20 m. In contrast to the weakly muscled body, the Java pony has a short, strong neck and a tough head. The straight back ends in the often weak croup . The horse's limbs are often affected by positional errors.
The Java pony can be found in any color or pattern of coat.
interior
The horses are tough, persistent and willing to perform.
In its homeland, the Java pony is mainly used in agriculture and for the transport of passengers and goods in cities and has adapted perfectly to the tropical climate of Indonesia . Despite its small size and light build, the Java Pony is a sturdy and enduring workhorse .
Breeding history
The horses are privately bred all over the island . Therefore, there are already clear racial differences on the various islands of Indonesia . In many cases, this pony breeding is subsidized by the state.
