Javier Ortigosa Contín (born January 17, 1982 in Pamplona , Spain ) is a Spanish handball player . He is 1.83 m tall and weighs 93 kg.

Ortigosa, who plays for the Spanish club Ademar León (shirt number 23) and plays for the Spanish national team, is mostly used as a left winger.

Javier Ortigosa started playing handball in his hometown. He also made his debut in the Spanish league ASOBAL for the local first division club SDC San Antonio . Ortigosa won the Spanish championship with San Antonio in 2002, the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2004 and the Spanish championship again in 2005. In 2008 he moved to league rival Ademar León.

Javier Ortigosa has so far made eight appearances for the Spanish national team . At the European handball championship in Norway in 2008 , he was part of his country's extended squad.
