Javier Sordo Bringas

Javier Sordo (Madaleno) Bringas (born October 16, 1956 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican architect .

biography

He is the third child of the architect Juan Sordo Madaleno and Magdalena Bringas Aguado. His older brother José Juan (* 1942) died in 1974. From 1963 he spent his childhood and youth in the parents' hacienda of “La Laja” in Tequisquiapan in the Mexican state of Querétaro .

From 1974 to 1979 Javier Sordo studied architecture at the Universidad Iberoamericana . He then worked from 1980 to 1982 with José de Yturbe , who is married to Javier's sister.

Since 1982 he has headed the architecture firm Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos SC , which his father founded and today has around 60 employees, and has been married to Ana Paula de Haro Lebrija since 1983 . So far he has designed a large number of public buildings, hotels, commercial and office buildings, churches, cinemas and factories in Mexico.
