Jazz ethics
Jazzthetik (subtitle “Magazin für Jazz & Anderes”) is a music magazine that has been appearing in German-speaking countries since 1987 with a focus on jazz music. The publishing house is based in Münster . Jazzthetik is currently published six times a year, the publisher is Christine Stephan, the editor-in-chief is Hans-Jürgen Linke.
The content of the magazine is divided into news from the jazz sector, interviews, portraits, reviews of CDs, DVDs and books, concert reports and a calendar of TV and radio programs as well as upcoming performances and tours. As the subtitle of the magazine suggests, Jazzthetik is not only concerned with jazz, but also with related musical styles such as electronica , ambient , world music , blues and progressive rock .
In addition to the five-person editorial team (as of Sep. 2017), a number of freelancers work for the magazine.
