Jazztime Records

Jazztime Records was an American jazz record label that existed in the early 1960s.

The label Jazztime Records was founded in 1961 by Fred Norsworthy. The jazz musicians Duke Pearson and Dave Bailey were also involved . A total of three LPs were released in 1961: Introducing the Rocky Boyd Quintet with Kenny Dorham (JS 001), Speak Low by Walter Bishop Jr. and Reaching Out by the Dave Bailey Quintet.

The company was then renamed Jazz Line and in 1962 two more albums were released, Bash by the Dave Bailey Sextet with Kenny Dorham, Curtis Fuller and Tommy Flanagan and Hush by the Duke Pearson Quintet with Donald Byrd and Johnny Coles . These recordings and other unreleased material were later released under various titles by other labels such as Polydor , Fontana, Onyx, Muse and Black Lion .
