Jean-François Remésy (born June 5, 1964 in Nîmes ) is a French professional golfer .

Career

He won the French amateur championship in 1985 and became a professional golfer in 1987. Although he won two smaller tournaments in France and one event on the Challenge Tour , it took twelve attempts at the Tour School before Remésy could celebrate his first victory on the European Tour - the Estoril Open - in 1999 . Then the spell was broken and he became a permanent member of the tournament series. In 2004 he was the first French player to win the Open de France title after 35 years, and the following year he repeated the feat and defeated his compatriot Jean Van de Velde in the jump-off.

Remésy has been playing on the European Seniors Tour since 2014 .
