Jean-Louis Tavarez (born April 4, 1972 in Thiès , Senegal ) is a Senegalese football player and former national player of his country.
Career
At the age of four, he kicked the round leather for the first time on the streets of Thiès, but nothing is known about his youth clubs in Senegal. From 1991 to 1993 Tavarez played in the Senegalese national team and came to 10 missions.
In 1995 his way to Germany led him directly to North Rhine-Westphalia , which he has not left since then. Until 2001 he played at Rheydter SV in Mönchengladbach . In the same year he moved to Wuppertaler SV Borussia . Towards the end of his current contract, he still played in the amateur team of the WSV in the Lower Rhine League , but also belonged to the third division squad and was one of the club's audience favorites for years. The fans will never forget his goal on September 26, 2003 against arch rivals Rot-Weiss Essen .
Tavarez 'contract with WSV expired in 2009, he then moved to the regional division CSI Milano . His former and his new club played after his move to an official farewell game, which was followed by a good 1000 spectators.
From the 2010/11 season he joined FC Polonia Wuppertal in the district league. His former Wuppertal team-mate Krzysztof Benedyk was player- coach there . During the winter break of the same season, Tavarez was banned from the German Football Association for one year for grossly unsporting behavior at the qualifying tournament for the indoor city championship. In the summer of 2012, he was signed by the newly promoted regional league ASV Wuppertal and announced their intention to make a petition for pardon for Tavarez, which was rejected. At the same time, the Wuppertaler SV reported that he wanted to involve him in his youth work; the president of the WSV Friedhelm Runge intends to give the father of five a job in his company. Tavarez has been a member of Grün-Weiß Wuppertal since 2013 and has been a co- and player trainer since 2014 .
