Jean-Marc Brucato (born August 31, 1968 in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés ) is a former French football player .

Career

Brucato moved to the youth department of the professional club FC Sochaux in 1983 . After the club's surprising relegation to the second division in 1987, Brucato moved up to the professional squad, but was essentially still used in the reserve team. In order to protect the regular players who had already reached promotion and were soon in the cup final, which was lost on penalties against FC Metz , numerous young players were used in the first team on the last matchday. This remained for Brucato his only use for Sochaux, since he left the club after the end of the 1988 season. He signed with the also second-rate Red Star Paris . There he was used more often and came to 15 games in the first and nine in the second season, but was then thwarted by a serious knee injury. Although those responsible at the club then gave him three years to regain his old level of performance, he never succeeded. Brucato didn't make it to the first team. In view of this, he ended his career at the age of 25.

He then stayed at Red Star as a youth coach before he was also active as a youth coach for two small clubs. He met Bruno Naidon, with whom he moved to the lower class US Chantilly.
