Molino received his academic training in Milan and made his debut in the mid-1930s with drawings for various publications. In the following years, Molino Capitan l'Audace drew and Kit Carson took over from Rino Albertarelli . In 1941, Molinos began a nearly 30-year collaboration with the magazine Domenica del Corriere , for which he created covers and humorous drawings. With a few exceptions, such as in 1946, when he drew several stories for the Grand Hotel magazine under the pseudonym JW Symes using a mixture of photo and washing technology, Molino had worked almost exclusively as an illustrator since 1941.
