Jean-Pierre Seguin

Jean-Pierre Seguin ( 1935 - June 16, 2007 ) was a French Romance studies and linguist.

life and work

Seguin completed his habilitation in 1974 at the University of Paris III on Diderot, le discours et les choses. Essai de description du style d'un philosophe en 1750 (Paris 1978, Lille 1981) and became a professor at the University of Poitiers . Françoise Berlan and Anna Jaubert were among his students.

Seguin is not to be confused with the librarian and author Jean-Pierre Seguin (* 1920).
