Muscadin Jean-Yves Jason is a Haitian politician and mayor of the capital Port-au-Prince since 2007 .

Jason graduated from the State University of Haiti ( Université d'Etat d'Haïti ). He was elected Mayor of Port-au-Prince in 2007. During his tenure as mayor, the worst earthquake in the region for more than 200 years occurred on January 12, 2010 . Since the epicenter was only about 25 kilometers west-southwest of Port-au-Prince, the city was particularly hard hit.

Jason is married and has two children.
