Jean Elizabeth Coussins, Baroness Coussins (born October 26, 1950 ) is a British consultant for corporate social responsibility . She is a member of the Better Regulation Commission , a member of the Advertising Standards Authority and was temporarily managing director of the Portman Group , a non-profit organization that advocates the moderate use of alcohol. Coussins is a member of the Alcohol Education and Research Council.

In February 2007, it was announced that she would be awarded the Life Peer Dignity, and on March 23, 2007 she was awarded the title Baroness Coussins , of Whitehall Park in the London Borough of Islington. She has been a crossbencher in the House of Lords since then . She was made an honorary member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists . She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts .

Coussins married Roger J. Hamilton in 1976, with whom they have three children.
