Jean Ferrand († November 11, 1990 ) was a French ice hockey goalkeeper and official.
Career
Jean Ferrand spent his career as an active player from 1945 to 1956 as a goalkeeper at Gap Hockey Club . From 1954 to 1971 he was the club president in Gap. From 1970 to 1983 he was President of the National Ice Hockey Committee of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF . He was then President of the Fédération française des sports de glace for seven years until his death . In 2008 he was one of the first five personalities to be admitted to the Temple de la René du hockey français . The trophy Jean Ferrand is named after him and is awarded annually to the best goalkeeper in Ligue Magnus , the highest French ice hockey division.
