Jean O. Lanjouw
Jean (Jenny) Olson Lanjouw (* 1962 in Seattle , Washington ; † November 1, 2005 in Washington, DC ) was an American economist, author, scientist and professor at the University of California, Berkeley.
Life
Lanjouw first studied mathematics and economics at Miami University (BA summa cum laude ); Economics at the Delhi School of Economics, India (M.Sc.) and until 1987 Economics and Political Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science . In 1992 she received her doctorate in economics. After holding positions at the London School of Economics (1988.1991) and at Yale University (1992–2004), she became a professor at the University of California , Berkeley.
Jean O. Lanjouw was considered a leading scientist in the field of development in the Third World.
