Rie Rasmussen

Rie Rasmussen (born February 14, 1978 in Copenhagen , Denmark ) is a photo model , actress , director and screenwriter in the USA . She first grew up in Denmark with her nine siblings and spent her youth in Southern California .

Rasmussen is in the model agency 1 Management in New York under contract and is since her appearance in the Victoria's Secret lingerie fashion show in 2001 one of the current model for the lingerie brand Victoria's Secret . She is also the face in Gucci's advertising campaign .

In 2002 she became known for her camouflage look in the role of Veronica in Brian De Palma's erotic thriller Femme Fatale , alongside Rebecca Romijn and Antonio Banderas .

Rie Rasmussen attended a film school in Huntington Beach , California in 1998 with the aim of becoming a director. Her short film “Thinning the Herd” was produced by Luc Besson and was nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival . In 2005 she played the title role in Besson's film " Angel-A " . The film " Human Zoo " was made three years later , for which Rasmussen wrote the script, directed and starred in front of the camera as the female lead alongside Nikola Djuricko and Nick Corey. “Human Zoo” premiered on February 5, 2009 at the Berlinale .

In addition to her film career, she paints and photographs.
