Jean van Kessel

Jean van Kessel (born June 17, 1893 in Cologne , † October 27, 1956 ) was a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending school, van Kessel attended teachers' seminars and was active in the school service from 1913, most recently as rector . He was a member of the SPD from 1919. Van Kessel was represented in numerous bodies of the SPD. B. Sub-district chairman of the Duisburg sub-district . From 1946 he was a member of the Education and Science Union .

From July 5, 1950 until his death on October 27, 1956, van Kessel was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected directly in constituency 071 Duisburg-Ruhrort.

He was a member of the city council of Hamborn from 1925 to 1926.
