Jeffrey Caine

Jeffrey Caine (* 1944 in London ) is a British screenwriter.

Life

Caine studied at the University of Sussex and the University of Leeds . He then taught English at schools and colleges for a few years. From 1981 to 1995, Caine worked for television as a writer without exception. For example, he was involved in the development of the television series The Chief , which was produced from 1990 to 1995.

In 1995 he was involved in the script for James Bond 007 - Goldeneye , the first James Bond film in the 1990s. Another television series followed with Bodyguards . Since 2004 he has only written screenplays for cinema productions. Caine was nominated for an Oscar in 2006 for his screenplay for the literary film adaptation The Eternal Gardener . There was also a nomination for the BAFTA Award . In 2004, he received the IFTA Award for his script for Inside I'm Dancing .

Caine has been a widower since 1995. He is the father of two daughters.
