The Jeffries rock is a cliff rock in front of Georg V. Coast in the Australian Antarctic Territory . It belongs to the Mackellar Islands in the Commonwealth Bay and is west of Cape Denison and south of Castor Rock .

Participants of the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1914) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson discovered him. It is named after one of the sled dogs on the research trip. This in turn was named after the American boxer James J. Jeffries (1875-1953), the defeated opponent of Jack Johnson in the "fight of the century" on July 4, 1910.
