The Georg V. Coast ( english George V Coast , George V Country ) is a stretch of coast of the continent Antarctica . It lies between Point Alden (at 142 ° 02 'E) and Cape Hudson (at 153 ° 45' E).

The coast was discovered during the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1914) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson . Mawson named it after George V of Great Britain and Ireland.

During the second section of the eighth GANOVEX expedition from 1999 to 2000, the focus of geological and geophysical activities was in the area off the Oates and Georg V coasts.
