The Cape Hudson ( Russian Мыс Воронина , Mys Woronina ) is the northern cape of Mawson Peninsula on the East Antarctic Georg V. Coast .
On January 19, 1840, Lieutenant William Leverreth Hudson (1794-1862) sighted from the USS Peacock land in the vicinity of the Cape in the United States Exploring Expedition (1838-1842) under the direction of the American polar explorer Charles Wilkes . In Wilkes' maps there is a formation named as Cape Hudson , which can be assigned to the cape described here based on the analysis of aerial photographs of Operation Highjump (1946-1947) and the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions in 1959.
