Ekaterina Rojaka

Jekaterina Rojaka (born June 29, 1978 ) is a Lithuanian economist and politician , deputy minister and deputy minister for the economy of Lithuania .

Life

After graduating from the Russian-speaking 8th secondary school in Naujamiestis in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius , Jekaterina Rojaka completed her bachelor's degree from 1997 to 2001 and her master's degree in economics from 2001 to 2003 at the Vilniaus universitetas (VU). From 2000 to 2002 she worked at Lietuvos bankas in Vilnius . From September 2003 to August 2005 she was a senior analyst at the bank NORD / LB . From October 2004 to March 2006 she worked as a Country Economist at World Bank in Vilnius and Warsaw , Poland . From February 2006 to January 2009 she taught econometrics at the business faculty of VU and also at ISM University of Management and Economics and VGTU . From November 2006 to September 2009 she was Senior Analyst in the Economic Research department of Bank DnB NORD A / S. From September 2009 to March 2018 she worked as Chief Economist and Head of Department at DNB Markets at DNB bankas (now Luminor ).

From October 2018 she was advisor to the minister at the Lithuanian Ministry of Economy . Since January 15, 2019, she has been Deputy Minister of Economy of Lithuania and Deputy of Virginijus Sinkevičius in the Skvernelis cabinet (instead of Gediminas Miškinis , who became the head of the National Office of Civil Servants). She is responsible for coordinating the investments of the European Union and shaping corporate policy.
