Ekaterina Sergejewna Wassiljewa
Jekaterina Sergejewna Wassiljewa ( Russian Екатерина Сергеевна Васильева , born September 9, 1986 in Leningrad ) is a Russian figure skater who starts in pair skating .
Vasilyeva started ice skating at the age of five. It started for Jubileini , St. Petersburg. Vasilyeva was a single runner until 2005.
From 2005 Vasilyeva was temporarily the partner of Alexander Smirnow . With him she was both 6th in the Junior World Championships in 2006 and 6th in the Russian Championships. In the same year they won the Russian Junior Championships. They trained with Lyudmila and Nikolai Velikow .
From July 2007 until the end of the 2007/08 season she ran with the German Daniel Wende . Together they were third in the German championships in 2008. However, the couple separated after only one season because Vasilyeva's visa was not extended. Since then she has been running for Russia again, her new partner is Anton Tokarew .
