Yekaterina Vladimirovna Warnava ( Russian Екатерина Владимировна Варнава; born December 9, 1984 in Moscow ) is a Russian actress , comedian , choreographer and television presenter .

Life

Warnawa's father, Vladimir Petrovich, was a soldier, and his mother, Galina, was a doctor. She has two older brothers: Igor and Alexander. There are contradicting statements about the parentage of the father. There is information about a Cossack, Kazakh, but also a Jewish origin. Immediately after the daughter was born, the family moved to Wünsdorf in Germany. The reason for this was the father's job, which was related to the stationing of Russian armed forces in the GDR . At the age of seven, Yekaterina Warnava returned to Russia. The first time in the new school, she was exposed to bullying . Until she was 15, she took dance lessons and took an active part in competitions. She graduated from Moscow State Science and Technology Institute with a law degree.

Career

Even as a student, Jekaterina Warnawa worked on the popular Russian comedy TV show KWN (also: KVN, Russian КВН, abbreviation for: "Клуб весёлых и находчивых", German club for the happy and imaginative). After participating in the TV music competition Премьер-лига (Premier League) in 2005, the artist appeared as a member of the comedian team with the name Сборная малых народов (Sbornaja malych narodow), from 2007 on in the team Своеи секры.

Warnawa celebrated great success with her participation in ComedyWoman , a humorous show for women. There she appears as a sex symbol , choreographer for other participants and as a jury member.

As an actress, she appeared in the Russian sitcom Универ (Univer, 2008-2011). In 2012 she played herself in the series Счастливы вместе (Schastlivy vmeste, Eng. Happy United) and in the same year she also took a leading role in 8 первых свиданий (8 pervych svidannii, German 8 first dates). Warnawa also reports as a presenter on various Russian and Ukrainian TV channels.
