The Jelbart Ice Shelf is an Antarctic ice shelf around 65 kilometers in diameter, which lies north of the Giæverrückens off the Princess Martha coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land .

Norwegian cartographers mapped it on the basis of geodetic measurements of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952). It is named after the Australian physicist and expedition member John Ellis Jelbart (1926–1951), who drowned on February 24, 1951 not far from the Maudheim base camp .
