Jelena Alexejewna Jakowleva
Jelena Alexejewna Jakowleva ( Russian Елена Алексеевна Яковлева , scientific transliteration Elena Alekseevna Jakovleva; born March 5, 1961 in Novohrad-Wolynskyj ) is a Russian film and theater actress . She is a long-time member of the theater troupe of the Moscow Sovremennik Theater . She achieved great fame with the lead role in the glasnost film Intergirl ( Интердевочка ), in which she played a Leningrad prostitute who marries a foreigner in order to escape from her homeland. She played another well-known role in the feature film Encore, again Encore ( Анкор, ещё анкор ). In the early 2000s, she played an investigator in the crime series Kamenskaya . She bears the title of People's Artist of Russia .
