Jelena Nikolajewna Darina ( Russian Елена Николаевна Дарина ; born February 23, 1985 ) is a Russian biathlete .

Jelena Darina made her international debut in the context of the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2006 in Presque Isle , where the Russian was 17th in the sprint and 24th in the pursuit race. In the further course of the season she also started in the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2006 in Ufa and won the title in the mixed relay race with Olga Saremskaja , Evgeni Pschelkin and Alexei Katrenko . In the sprint and the pursuit, she narrowly missed further medal wins in sixth and fourth. Because of the high level of performance in the Russian team, it took a long time before Darina returned to international assignments. At the Summer Biathlon European Championships 2011 in Martell , the Russian competed with the women and finished 14th in the sprint race and eighth in the pursuit.
