Summer biathlon European championships 2011

The open Summer Biathlon European Championships in 2011 were from 20 to 24 July at the Italian Martell in Biathlon Center Val Martello instead. The competitions were held in the cross-country disciplines sprint and pursuit for men and women and in the mixed relay.

The most successful nation was Russia with three out of five possible titles. Another four silver medals and two third places were added. Sergei Balandin is also the most successful individual participant with three titles. The other two titles went to the Czech Pavla Schorná , who also won another bronze medal and was thus the most successful woman. Ukraine won a silver and a bronze medal, and a bronze medal went to Norway.
