Wolfgang Kinzner (born March 30, 1985 ) is a German cross-country summer biathlete .
Wolfgang Kinzner lives in Schnaitsee , started for SV Harpfing and is trained by Peter Knauth. In 2006 he started at the Junior Summer Biathlon World Championships for the first time at a major international event. At the competitions in Ufa , he finished 16th in the sprint, 14th in the pursuit and came sixth in the mixed relay. At the 2007 European Biathlon Championships in Tysovec , Kinzner took part for the first time in a major event in the performance area, where he finished seven in the sprint, ten in the mass start and six in the relay. In Oberhof he took part in the 2009 Summer Biathlon World Championships for the first time and came in 30th in the sprint and 23rd in the pursuit. Only a few weeks earlier he won the sprint and mass start titles with the small bore rifle at the German Championships in Zinnwald and was runner-up with Frank Röttgen and Christian Moser in representing Bavaria with the relay. In Nové Město na Moravě he took part in the Summer Biathlon European Championships in 2009 and reached places 16 in the sprint, 25 in the pursuit and was fifth in the mixed relay competition with Robert Janikulla and Stefanie and Franziska Hildebrand . At the Summer Biathlon European Championships 2011 in Martell , Kinzner was 24th in the sprint and 15th in the pursuit race.
Kinzner has been studying industrial engineering at the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences since October 1, 2009 .
