Michal Žák (born April 3, 1991 ) is a Czech biathlete .

Michal Žák celebrated most of his successes in the youth and junior sector in summer biathlon . At the Summer Biathlon European Championships 2011 in Martell he won the bronze medal in sprint and mixed relay races behind Iwan Morawskyj and Yuriy Kopchak , at the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2012 in Ufa he was runner- up behind Alexander Pechonkin on the track and won with Kristýna Černá , Jessica Jislová , Matěj Krupčík in the mixed relay bronze. He is also mainly active in winter. In the junior races of theAt the 2011 European Biathlon Championships in Ridnaun he was 42nd in the individual, 12th in the sprint and 26th in the pursuit, in 2012 he achieved his best result in the individual in Osrblie with eighth place and was also 30th in the sprint and 28th in the pursuit. At the Junior World Championships 2012 in Kontiolahti , Žák won the silver medal with Vlastimil Vávra , Matěj Krupčík and Michal Krčmář in the relay race and was also 39th in the individual, 45th in the sprint and 41st in the pursuit.

With the men Žák made his debut in 2008 in Nové Město na Moravě with the men in the IBU Cup and was 63rd a sprint race. A year later he achieved his best result in the racing series to date, finishing 50th in an individual. The first international championships in the performance area were the 2014 European Championships in Nové Město na Moravě. In his Czech homeland, Žák was 66th of the individual, 21st of the sprint, 37th of the pursuit and with Lukáš Kristejn , Matěj Krupčík and Michal Krčmář ninth in the relay race.
