Osrblie (German Zeternbach , Hungarian Cserpatak - until 1882 Oszrblja ) is a municipality in Slovakia . It belongs to the Okres Brezno and is part of the Banskobystrický kraj landscape association .
The place was first mentioned in writing in 1622, is part of the Slovak Ore Mountains and lies at an altitude of about 600 meters above sea level.
Osrblie is best known as a winter sports center. World Cup , IBU Cup and IBU Summer Cup races have been held regularly in the biathlon arena since the mid-1990s . The small community was also the venue for the following major biathlon events:
