The name Drábsko was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1566 in the slightly different form Na Drapskie . Until 1920 the present municipality was administratively part of Lom nad Rimavicou, since then it has been independent. After the Second World War, many residents emigrated to Brezno , Hronec , Podbrezová and Utekáč for work. T. can only be used as weekend houses.
