history

Part of the Kysuca settlement and Anna chapel

The name Drábsko was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1566 in the slightly different form Na Drapskie . In 1810 , the Forgách family settled immigrants from the Arwa into the forest clearings that were created in the 17th and 18th centuries, and later immigrants from the Kysuce region and Moravian Wallachia . In addition to the actual place Drábsko, the settlements Dolina, Kysuca (formerly Otília), Sedmák and others emerged. In addition to forestry and less fertile agriculture, the inhabitants were mainly active as cattle farmers, in clapboard manufacture and from the middle of the 19th century until shortly after the First World War as workers in local glassworks.

Until 1918 the place in Sohl County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or today Slovakia. Until 1920 the present municipality was administratively part of Lom nad Rimavicou, since then it has been independent. After the Second World War, many residents emigrated to Brezno , Hronec , Podbrezová and Utekáč for work. T. can only be used as weekend houses.
