Lukáš Kristejn (born February 17, 1989 ) is a Czech biathlete .

Career

Lukáš Kristejn made his international debut as part of the Biathlon Junior World Championships 2008 in Ruhpolding , where he was 62nd of the individual, 36th of the sprint and 41st of the pursuer. This was followed by the junior cross-country races at the 2008 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Haute-Maurienne , where the Czech finished tenth in the sprint and seventh in the pursuit. In 2009 he started again at the Junior World Championships in Canmore and was 17th in the sprint, 24th in the pursuit and the individual and eleventh with the relay. At the junior races of the 2009 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof , he competed in all possible five races. At the cross competitions Kristejn became world champion in the sprint and won the bronze medal in the pursuit race behind Anuzar Yanusov and Ivan Kryukov. The competitions on roller skis were not quite as successful . In the sprint he came in 15th place, was 22nd in the pursuit and fifth in the mixed relay. In 2010 he took part in a junior world championship for the last time and reached 43rd place in the individual, 55th in the sprint and seventh with the relay in Torsby . He did not finish the chase.

At the IBU Summer Cup 2010 , Kristejn competed in his first men's races and immediately achieved good results. In Nové Město na Moravě he was second behind Michal Šlesingr in the sprint and third in the pursuit race behind Friedrich Pinter and Šlesingr. The first major event was the 2011 European Biathlon Championships in Ridnaun . Kristejn finished 27th in the individual, was 56th of the sprint, 39th of the pursuit and with Vít Jánov , Tomáš Krupčík and Ondřej Exler as the starting runner of the season 12. At the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2011 , also in Nové Město, the Czech was 13th in the sprint and 16th in the pursuit. In Osrblie he took part again in the European Championships in 2012 and was 18th in the individual, 22nd in the sprint, 32nd in the pursuit and sixth in the relay race with the same competitors as last year. After the successful European Championships, Kristejn was able to make his debut in the World Cup in Kontiolahti . In the sprint, the Czech qualified as 56th for the pursuit, in which he missed winning points for the first time as 44th by just four places.

Kristejn lives in Žamberk . For the local club SK Žamberk Tessuti sport he is also active in the cycling marathon.
