Anuzar Yunusov achieved his previous successes mainly in the summer biathlon . In 2005 he first took part in the summer biathlon junior world championships in Muonio and was fifth in the sprint, eighth in the pursuit, 12th in the individual and won the silver medal with Murod Hodjibayev and Ruslan Nasirov with the relay of Uzbekistan behind the representation of Russia. In the following year in Ufa , Yunusov achieved good results with ranks 14 in the sprint, seven in the pursuit and five in the mixed relay. 2007 in Otepää was fifth in the sprint and fourth in the relay, the best result. The 2008 Junior World Championships in Haute-Maurienne were particularly successful for the young Uzbek . In cross-country competitions, he won titles in both the sprint and the pursuit. With 38th place in the sprint and 33rd place in the pursuit, the results in the roller ski competitions in which he participated for the first time were less good . Also in 2009 in Oberhof Yunusov won the title in the pursuit after he was third already in the sprint. The results on roller skis were again much worse with 49th place in the sprint and an early end in the pursuit after the lap. At the 2009 Summer Biathlon European Championships in Nové Město na Moravě , he first won the junior mass start race and was then nominated for the first time at a major event for the performance area. With Dilafruz Imomhusanova , Anna Dreeva and Ruslan Nasirov he finished ninth in the mixed race. Regionally, he won all three possible titles in sprint, pursuit and mass start at the junior competitions of the Open Asian Summer Biathlon Championships 2008 in Cholponata .
In winter Yunusov took part in the Junior World Championships 2009 in Ufa for the first time in a major event and reached places 40 in the individual and 45 in the sprint. In Ridnaun he took part in races in the IBU Cup for the first time in the 2009/10 season and initially achieved 130th place in the individual and 138th place in the sprint. The best result so far is a 68th place in a sprint by Nové Město, achieved in 2010.
