Jori Mørkve (born December 29, 1980 in Voss ) is a former Norwegian biathlete .

Jori Mørkve, who trains in Lillehammer and lives in Vossestrand and starts for the local club, has been running biathlon since 1996 . She is trained by Geir Ole Steinsklett . She has been a member of the Norwegian national team since 1999.

In the World Cup Mørkve made his debut in an individual in Oberhof (77th) in 2001 , but was not used again until 2005 in an individual in Antholz (49th). In between there was a single win in 2002 in Ål in the European Cup . She took part in the biathlon world championships for the first time in 2006 in Pokljuka and was 23rd in a mixed race with Frode Andresen , Borghild Ouren and Lars Berger as Norway's second season. Her best place in an individual World Cup race was an 18th place in a sprint in Chanty -Mansiysk during their most successful 2006/07 season . She was even more successful with the Norwegian relay, with which she was allowed to climb onto the podium at a World Cup in Hochfilzen in 2006 as third place alongside Tora Berger , Ann Kristin Flatland and Linda Grubben . Mørkve was also used at the Mixed World Championships in 2006 in Pokljuka (23rd), before she won her first world championship medal in mixed with bronze at the 2007 Biathlon World Championships in Antholz, which she was able to repeat with the women's relay. In the following years she could not confirm this level of performance and was mostly used in the IBU Cup . The operating times in the World Cup have decreased, and she has not been able to win World Cup points since 2007. It has not been used since 2009. The nomination for the Biathlon World Championships 2011 in Khanty-Mansiysk was all the more surprising . Mørkve had previously shown good performances in the IBU Cup and won an individual in Osrblie . At the World Cup she made her first appearance in a single race and was 79th over 15 kilometers. At the Summer Biathlon European Championships 2011 in Martell , the Norwegian won the bronze medal after finishing eighth in the sprint in the pursuit race.
