Borghild Ouren

Borghild Ouren (born August 17, 1977 ) is a former Norwegian biathlete .

Borghild Ouren made her Biathlon World Cup debut in 2000 in Ruhpolding . There she finished 70th in a sprint race. The first notable result was tenth place in the sprint at the 2001 Military World Championships in Jericho . The 2002 European Championships in Kontiolahti went quite well for her , where she was fifth in the relay and in the individual. In the 2002/03 season , the young Norwegian managed their greatest success in the World Cup when they in a season in Osrblie with Liv Kjersti Eikeland , Gunn Margit Andreassen and Linda Grubbenvorst took third place. At the European Championships of the year in Forni Avoltri she was again fifth in the individual. In Khanty-Mansiysk , Ouren started as the 57th individual for the first time at the biathlon world championships . The following season she first competed in the European Cup and was fourth in the sprint and third in the pursuit in Geilo . Shortly afterwards she won her first World Cup points as 23rd in the sprint in Hochfilzen and achieved her best placement in the World Cup.
